Welcome to Your Easeful Era! Over the next four weeks, we will delve deep into the layers beneath the surface, uncovering the roots of our experiences. We will define our core values, tenderly tend to our inner child, and integrate strategies grounded in neurobiology. Through somatic practices, we will learn to soothe and regulate our nervous system, paving the way for profound healing. To get us started, here is everything you need to know to make the most out of our time together.
To begin shedding the behaviors, patterns, and tendencies of High "Functioning" Anxiety, it's essential to grasp a clear understanding of what this struggle entails and how it manifests uniquely in each individual. Let's initiate our exploration by unraveling the specifics of the High "Functioning" Anxiety experience, laying the groundwork for our healing journey ahead.
Have you ever pondered the origins of your high functioning anxiety? Delving into the healing journey involves unraveling the layers behind this experience, as it's often intertwined with underlying roots. Let's embark on understanding your unique experience, as it provides valuable insight and sparks the catalyst for change.
Welcome to week 2! Today’s session will provide space for core value alignment. As we know, High “Functioning” Anxiety tends to stem from a deep-rooted desire to keep ourselves secure, often resulting in decisions driven by external pressures to fulfill our needs. Yet, by uncovering what truly matters to us personally, we open the door to a more fulfilling existence, where we authentically engage with life.
Inner child work is essential when it comes to healing HFA. At its core, it involves connecting with and nurturing the part of oneself that holds onto the experiences, emotions, and innocence of childhood. These childhood experiences are often the roots of the HFA we experience. By embracing and integrating the inner child, we open the door to a more authentic and fulfilling life, marked by emotional resilience and a renewed sense of wonder.
Now that we have a deeper understanding of our inner child and the importance of why we need to tend to the little us, I’d love to offer you an experiential inner child meditation. Please know you can com back to this practice at any time, to continue to connect the younger versions of yourself.
Welcome to week 3 of Your Easeful Era. Today’s session will focus on all things nervous system. The nervous system plays a big role in healing from High “Functioning” Anxiety, as most of our experience is rooted in the habituated response of our nervous system. This video will provide the basics of what you need to know when it comes to your autonomic nervous system.
Mapping your nervous system is an exercise that builds cognitive and somatic awareness into your internal states. The more awareness we cultivate, the more likely we are able to support our nervous system with what it needs to shift back into regulation. This session will provide a step-by-step guide.
Somatic practices are beneficial for reducing anxiety and regulating the nervous system because they focus on the connection between the mind and body, emphasizing the importance of becoming more aware of bodily sensations and learning how to manage them. In today’s session, I will offer a handful of somatic practices to explore to support regulation within your nervous system.
Our adrenal glands are crucial players in the body's stress response, producing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. When we encounter a stressful situation, whether it's physical or psychological, the adrenal glands release these hormones into the bloodstream.
The role of gut health in anxiety is becoming increasingly recognized within the scientific community, pointing towards a fascinating interconnectedness between our digestive system and brain, commonly referred to as the gut-brain axis. This relationship suggests that the state of our gut health can significantly influence our mental health, including the prevalence and severity of anxiety.
Regulating blood sugar levels is critical for maintaining overall health and well-being. When it comes to High “Functioning” Anxiety, we often find that we are on blood sugar rollercoaster, as we may be fueling our bodies in an effort to “survive.” Let’s break down how to better support our mind, body and nervous system.
