Welcome to week 3 of Your Easeful Era. Today’s session will focus on all things nervous system. The nervous system plays a big role in healing from High “Functioning” Anxiety, as most of our experience is rooted in the habituated response of our nervous system. This video will provide the basics of what you need to know when it comes to your autonomic nervous system.
Somatic practices are beneficial for reducing anxiety and regulating the nervous system because they focus on the connection between the mind and body, emphasizing the importance of becoming more aware of bodily sensations and learning how to manage them. In today’s session, I will offer a handful of somatic practices to explore to support regulation within your nervous system.
Mapping your nervous system is an exercise that builds cognitive and somatic awareness into your internal states. The more awareness we cultivate, the more likely we are able to support our nervous system with what it needs to shift back into regulation. This session will provide a step-by-step guide.
