Holistic Therapy Includes:

  • Our therapists are skilled and trained in Polyvagal Theory or nervous system-informed therapy. Polyvagal theory is a theory developed by Dr. Stephen Porges that describes the role of the vagus nerve in our social behavior and emotional regulation. The theory suggests that the vagus nerve has two branches that function in different ways, with one branch being responsible for our "fight or flight" response and the other branch being responsible for our "rest and digest" response. We will first explore the roots of your nervous system habituation, while teaching you how to track your nervous system states, along with ways to regulate.

  • Somatic therapy is a form of therapy that emphasizes the connection between the mind and body. It focuses on the physical sensations and experiences of the body to help individuals process and release emotional pain, trauma, and stress. Somatic therapy can involve a variety of techniques, such as breathing exercises, movement and body awareness, and mindfulness practices. When we begin to understand our internal experience, we can allow space to release and restore.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a type of psychotherapy that is used to help people overcome symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, developmental trauma or phobias. The therapy involves a series of guided eye movements or other forms of rhythmic, left-right stimulation, which help the brain process distressing memories and emotions. EMDR therapy can be used in conjunction with traditional talk therapy and can be an effective treatment for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and phobias.

  • Walk and talk therapy is a form of therapy that involves having a session while walking outdoors. This type of therapy is designed to combine the benefits of exercise and movement with the mental and emotional benefits of talking with a therapist. During a walk-and-talk therapy session, the therapist and client walk together and engage in conversation. The therapy can take place in a variety of outdoor settings, such as a park or a nature trail.

  • Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve physical, mental, and emotional health. Unlike traditional yoga classes, which are designed for general wellness, yoga therapy is tailored to the individual needs of the practitioner. It is often used as a complementary therapy to traditional medical treatments to help manage a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. By incorporating physical postures, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness practices, yoga therapy can help individuals improve their overall well-being and quality of life.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals explore and understand their inner selves. It is based on the idea that each person has a "system" of sub-personalities or "parts" that interact with one another and contribute to their overall sense of self. In IFS therapy, the therapist helps the individual identify and communicate with these parts in a safe and supportive environment, with the goal of resolving any conflicts or negative patterns of behavior that may be hindering their personal growth. The ultimate aim of IFS therapy is to help individuals achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional healing.

  • We are big believers in integrative work. We value incorporating holistic community partners into your treatment plan to help support and supplement the work we are doing together. Depending on your individual need, we may recommend one of our holistic community partners to help aid is releasing, restoring, regulating, or relearning.

Our Specialities

anxiety therapy

Stress and anxiety can be a natural part of being human; however, when we are living in a “fight/flight” state more days than not, it can become problematic. We will work with you to build insight and understanding of the root cause while building nervous system state awareness and regulation practices. We will equip you with adaptive coping skills to better manage the anxious experience. You deserve to feel grounded, at ease and connected.

Therapy for 20-somethings

You may still be in college or just graduated, or you may be in your mid-to-late 20s. Maybe you feel like you should have your life figured out by now or you are questioning what is next. This phase of life often includes some of life’s biggest transitions: breakups, friendship struggles, career decisions, and identity exploration. I’m passionate about supporting 20-somethings along the way to find clarity, root in their values, build confidence and seek connection.

trauma therapy

Trauma is a distressing or disturbing experience(s) that can cause physical, emotional, or psychological harm. Trauma impacts us at all levels, even the cellular level. It can also lead to a feeling of disconnection or detachment from oneself or others and a sense of being unsafe or vulnerable. Our nervous system may become habituated towards hyper-vigilance and become stuck within a hyper-aroused or hypo-aroused state.

Therapy for mamas

You may be a first-time mom who is adjusting to motherhood or you may be hanging on by a thread as a more seasoned mom trying to keep it all together. In my belief, it is critical to get support along the way. Not only is motherhood physically exhausting at times; it can be emotionally draining as well. The highs and pure love are often coupled with lows and uncertainty. Motherhood may have also created feelings of burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, and confusion about who you even are. Mama, let me tell you, you deserve support.

depression therapy

Depression may include feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or emptiness. You may feel irritable or angry and have difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much. Loss of interest in activities that you once enjoyed, changes in appetite, and difficulty concentrating or making decisions are also typical symptoms of depression. Physical symptoms like headaches, body aches, and digestive issues may also occur. You deserve to feel like YOU!

Therapy for female entrepreneurs

Our work includes helping guide female entrepreneurs and executives to heal from burnout, anxiety, and imposter syndrome while creating regulation within their nervous system. Our job is to help smart, high achievers like you build skills to let go of perfectionism, communicate confidently, build professional self-esteem, become more regulated in the mind and body, and commit to a realistic work/life balance.
